What is the Detachur Fibel

The BÜFA Detachur-Fibel is a technical guide to professional stain removal for dry cleaners and textile care. It covers pre-spotting (before cleaning) and post-spotting (after), with emphasis on fibre and dye protection — not on “recipes” without context.

What the guide covers

  • Core chemistry — surfactants (anionic / cationic / non-ionic / amphoteric) and pH values· why anionic agents are used in brushing.
  • Fibre knowledge — natural, chemical and synthetic fibres; appearance/touch test and burn test; properties of wool, cotton, silk, viscose, acetate, acrylic, polyamide, polyester.
  • Stain identification — water-bound vs greasy; outline, feel, colour, odour, position on the garment.
  • Classification & removal — starch/sugar, protein, tannin, fats/colours, oxides; dissolving, softening, mechanical action, enzymes (Oldozym AP), chemical conversion.
  • Bleaches — oxidising vs reducing agents, substance table and precautions (seam test, neutral pH, no metal).
