Laundromat operates in central Athens as compact urban self-service: neon Wash / Dry / Eat & Drink signage, a stainless folding table, seating and a central payment point. TARAX supplied the exclusive Fagor line, the stacked gas dryers and the automatic dosing setup.
The machines
On the Wash line four professional Fagor 10 kg washers were placed side by side and one Fagor 18 kg for duvets, blankets and large household loads that do not easily fit at home. Opposite, two stacked Fagor gas dryers — four drums in two columns — so drying follows the wash without a queue, in a smaller footprint.

Why this setup
In the centre, space and speed matter. The 10 kg machines cover everyday demand; the 18 kg gives residents and visitors an option for bulky loads, without a second shop. Stacked gas dryers double the drums in the same width and keep running costs lower than electric at high traffic.
Automatic dosing stabilises quality: no bottles on the floor and no overdosing. The space stays clean; the result more predictable — critical in self-service without permanent staff at the machine.
The customer experience
From the façade with the neon “Laundromat” and the shop window, you enter a lounge space — not an industrial laundry. Blue lighting, a stainless table, seating and Wash / Dry signage so each step is clear.
You load the washer, pay at the central point, sit or get a coffee at Eat & Drink while the cycle runs. Then you transfer to the stacked dryers and fold at the table before you leave.
For the city-centre resident it is the alternative to a small domestic washer; for the Athens visitor, a clean, fast stop with no appointment.
